2017 is wrapping up (wow, that year FLEW by!) and 2018 is DEFINITELY coming in with a BANG!
Below is a list of my upcoming appearances and events. I would love to meet you!
NEW YORK CITY
Created to empower and inspire millennial women of color, the BrownGirlsLove brand (powered by the editors of LoveBrownSugar) will kick 2018 off with a special POWER Day on Saturday, January 6th. With the goal of providing tools and inspiration to young female professionals, BrownGirlsLove POWER Day provides an exclusive group of movers & shakers the opportunity to go above and beyond for the new year!
The day conference features a combination of workshops and panel discussions about branding, finance, entrepreneurship, and self-care from young and powerful women who have mastered the art of building a brand.
IMARA is a mindful movement, directly born from the disconnection between art created by black artists, and black audiences. Specifically due to the art world traditionally being Eurocentric and hierarchal. We believe that art as a whole, is a tool for empowerment and conduit for change; it expands our horizons and enriches the human experience, as well as our understanding of the world around us. It truly enhances our lives in unimaginable ways and also connects us on a universal level. Therefore the audience should be more reflective of this type of inclusion and connectivity.
IMARA aims to bridge the gap, between black artists and the black audience. By creating awareness on an everyday level, using special connections within the black community and correlating these in an artistic way, within an empowering environment; via an exclusive, thoughtfully curated experience. Specifically for women of color, who tend to be the trendsetters within their communities. This is an experience like no other… FOR US, BY US.
