Can I just speak my mind real quick? MONDAYS SUCK!
After a very active weekend, neither my mind or body 🥴 are ready for MONDAY. Monday always comes a little too quick and a little too abruptly – like a slap in the face accompanied with a “Wake up!” And a “Pay attention!” I just can’t STAND that Monday-energy. So I’ve actually switched my Mondays up.
“Is It On The Calendar?”
For me, the most important way to start off my week is with some #planning! I can’t run straight into tasking and working without some sort of vision of the road ahead.
AKA My Google Calendar and iCal are lifesavers! I put everythingggggg (even hangouts and date nights) on my calendars. I keep multiple for different business and personal affairs plus 1 master calendar JUST for me. Doing life without these is just…not worth the anxiety lol believe me – I’ve had my fair share of missed zoom calls and angry hubby moments. Avoid the drama! Put it on your calendar so you don’t forget even the small things LOL
Rethink Your Monday Routine
Another way I curb that reaction to HATE Mondays, is to restructured what Monday “looks like”. Against my natural instinct to run & tackle all THE THINGS – I take things SLOW. I don’t schedule meetings. I’m “on” but not REALLY on. This also means I’m taking my time on responding to emails and texts. “Monday” wants us to feel stressed out but “Monday” ain’t gone win! Not this week! Not if I can help it!
BREATHE then PUSH THROUGH!
